FemBio Women's Biography Research e. V. is a non-profit association that provides the FemBio database with over 30,000 biographical records of well-known women. Of these, over 11,000 are available online.

history

The database was set up by Luise F. Pusch since 1982. FemBio was founded in 2001 by Luise F. Pusch in Hanover as an institute for women's biography research . FemBio has been a registered association since 2004. In addition to Pusch, collaborators and authors include Joey Horsley , Susanne Amrain , Traude Bührmann , Andrea C. Busch , Sibylle Duda and Claudia Schmölders .
