Gerald Staib

Gerald Staib (born November 9, 1950 in Mühlacker ) is a German architect and lecturer at the Technical University of Dresden .

Live and act

After graduating from high school in Mühlacker in 1969, Staib studied architecture in Darmstadt and Zurich . In 1979 he obtained his diploma.

From 1979 to 1993 he was an employee and project partner in the Stuttgart architectural office Behnisch & Partner , interrupted in 1980/1981 by working in the Sirvin office in Paris . Staib has been running his own office in Stuttgart as an independent architect since 1993.

Staib has been Professor of Building Construction and Design at the Faculty of Architecture at the Technical University of Dresden since 1992. In 2013 Staib was also dean of the faculty.

Staib is co-author of several specialist publications in German and English, the standard work Glasbau Atlas has also appeared in French.
