Ferdi Nasif

Ferdi Nasif ( Bulgarian Ферди Назиф ; born September 22, 1989 ) is a Bulgarian weightlifter .

Career

He was Vice Junior European Champion in 2008 and 2009. In 2009 he also took part in the European Active Championships for the first time and came in sixth in the class up to 56 kg. In 2011 and 2012, Nasif was Vice-U23 European Champion. At the European Championships in 2013 he was fourth in the duel in the class up to 62 kg and won the silver medal in the snatch. In 2014 he was seventh in the class up to 56 kg at the European Championships . In 2015, however, he was tested positive for stanozolol during a training check shortly before the European Championships, as were ten other members of the Bulgarian national team and banned for nine months.
