Ferdia Walsh-Peelo (born October 12, 1999 in Ashford , County Wicklow ) is an Irish actor and musician .

Life

Ferdia Walsh-Peelo was born the third of four children to Toni Walsh and Mick Peelo in Ashford, Ireland. His mother is a soprano and has taught at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama in Dublin. His two older brothers are musicians.

Walsh-Peelo also began vocal training at the age of seven. He is also a pianist. In 2012, Walsh-Peelo appeared on the Irish television program The Late Late Toy Show with an interpretation of O Holy Night . He later also sang at the Wexford Opera House . In 2016, he starred alongside Lucy Boynton in John Carney's musical film Sing Street . Since 2017 he can be seen in the TV series Vikings as Alfred the Great .
