Ferdinand Carl Boeheim (* 1794 in Znaim ; † May 30, 1835 in Wiener Neustadt ) was an Austrian historian.

Life

In 1824, the mayor of Wiener Neustadt, Felix Mießl, commissioned the city official Ferdinand Carl Boeheim to organize and categorize the antiquities of the city according to the instructions of the art-savvy magistrate Johann Nepomuk Fronner. The result was a printed inventory book Antiques Cabinet with 72 object descriptions, including the Corvinus beaker , a silver gospel book, and several oil paintings by the history painter Ferdinand Josef Waßhuber from Wiener Neustadt. In 1825, Boeheim and Fronner curated a list of the antiques cabinet in the town hall, which became the basic collection of the city ​​museum .

Ferdinand Karl Boeheim was married to Katharina, daughter of the Wiener Neustadt citizen hospital administrator Leopold Penshönnig. His son was Wendelin Josef Böheim.
