Ferdinand Frankenberger

Ferdinand Frankenberger (born September 25, 1870 in Unterschwärzenbach, Tettenweis municipality , Lower Bavaria; † April 24, 1956 in St. Florian am Inn , Upper Austria) was a farmer and Christian social politician.

Life

Frankenberger, whose brother was a member of the Reichstag for the center, married in 1898 on a farm in St. Florian am Inn. He was a farmer who devoted himself mainly to cooperative tasks. In 1901 he founded the Raiffeisenkasse in St. Florian and was its chairman and member of the supervisory board until 1926, and in 1918 he also founded the Schärding warehouse cooperative . Between 1909 and 1919 he was mayor of St. Florian am Inn and also a member of the Upper Austrian provincial culture council.

When the Upper Austrian Farmers' Union was founded, Frankenberger was elected to the board and was a member of the federal board for some time. In 1918/1919 he belonged to the provisional provincial assembly of Upper Austria and at the same time to the provisional and then to the constituent national assembly , after having also been a member of the Austrian Reichsrat from 1911 .
