Ferdinand Friederich

WO Ferdinand Friederich (born March 19, 1798 in Wernigerode , † November 15, 1873 in Gnadau ) was a German Protestant pastor and author.

Life

He was born at Wernigerode Castle and attended the Lyceum from 1810 to 1813. Then he went to the pedagogy in Ilfeld . He then studied theology at the Universities of Göttingen and Berlin. As a candidate for the cathedral he went on an educational trip to Holland, Hungary and Transylvania. After his return he became a private tutor in Berlin, before he got a job as a Protestant pastor in Ilsenburg (Harz) from the Graflich-Stolberg consistory in Wernigerode . A few years later, in 1835, he moved to the Johanniskirche in Wernigerode as pastor. When he reached an advanced age, he was retired. In the last years of his life he moved to Gnadau, where he died in 1873.
