Ferdinand Kirchhof sr.
Ferdinand Kirchhof senior (born April 2, 1911 in Osnabrück ; † 2004 ) was a German lawyer .
Life
Ferdinand Kirchhof was married to Liselotte, née Kersten (1919–2002). The two sons Paul and Ferdinand , both judges of the Federal Constitutional Court, come from the marriage .
Before Kirchhof was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice, he was a senior public prosecutor in Karlsruhe . Kirchhof was a federal judge at the Federal Court of Justice from July 1, 1959 to April 30, 1979 . In 1969 he was a member of the 2nd criminal senate of the BGH.
