Franz Christoph Effinger
Franz Christoph Effinger (von Wildegg) (born July 4, 1657 in Wildegg , † September 4, 1712 in Veltheim ) was a Swiss magistrate.
Franz Christoph Effinger was born as the son of Hans Thüring Effinger and Salome May . He was married to Juliana Rosina von Erlach . From 1673 to 1674 he belonged to the federal troops that had been sent to defend Strasbourg . In 1678 he inherited the castle and rule of Wildenstein Castle from his father. Effinger was the first family member to join the Grand Council of Bern in 1680 and was mayor of Büren an der Aare from 1690 to 1696 .
