Ferdinand Murr (born August 23, 1912 in Tallinn , Estonia Governorate , Russian Empire , † June 3, 1978 in Gothenburg , Sweden ) was an Estonian football player .
Career
Ferdinand Murr played in his active football days for the Estonian capital clubs VVS Puhkekodu Tallinn and JS Estonia Tallinn . With Estonia Tallinn , the middle runner was able to win the Estonian championship title in 1938 .
With the Estonian national team , Murr won the title in 1938 when he took part in the Baltic Cup for the third time , after 1936 and 1937 . In addition to five appearances in the Baltic Cup, Murr completed a game in the qualification for the upcoming 1938 World Cup in France against Germany , which was held in the Horst Wessel Stadium in Königsberg . There were also two friendlies that Murr played, so that he was used in eight international matches under national coach Bernhard Rein in the period from 1936 to 1938 .
In 1944 Murr emigrated to Sweden .
