Bernhard Rein (born November 7 . Jul / 19th November 1897 greg. In Tallinn , Governorate of Estonia ; † 9. November 1976 in Eskilstuna , Sweden ) was an Estonian football player and - coaches .
Career
Bernhard Rein was born in the Estonian capital Tallinn. In 1913 he graduated from school. Rein took part in the Estonian War of Independence against Soviet Russia (1918–1920). He then graduated from the Tallinn technical center. From 1914 he played football.
Rein began his career in Tallinn in 1921 with SK Tallinna Sport , with whom he was Estonian champion five times in the 1920s. When SK stopper until 1926. Another regional championship played followed with his second station the Tallinna JK , where he played from 1927 to 1931.
In August 1922, Rein made his debut for the Estonian national team against Finland in Helsinki . Already after the 15th minute of the game Rein was substituted for Harald Kaarman during the debut in the Estonian team .
In 1924 he took part in the soccer competitions of the Summer Olympics in Paris . Furthermore, Rein played in the Baltic Cup ; 1928 and 1930 .
In 1931, Rein played the last of a total of 27 international matches against Latvia . In his goalless international career, Rein was the captain of the Estonian national football team 19 times.
In 1937/1938 Rein acted as national coach for the Baltic state in 16 international matches. He ended his coaching career by winning the Baltic Cup in 1938 .
With the Soviet occupation of Estonia, Rein emigrated to Sweden in 1944.
