Jelle Quirinus Goes (born March 26, 1970 in Hilversum ) is a former Dutch football player and current coach. He has been the sports director of Anzhi Makhachkala since 2012 .

Career

The defender began his career at the Dutch club SV Huizen , where he was registered from 1978 to 1988. From 1988 to 1992 he played for the GVVV . At the age of 22 he ended his active career and began working as a football coach at GVVV. In 1995 he signed a contract with Koninklijke Nederlandse Voetbal Bond , where he coached the U-14, U-15 and U-23 from 1996 to 2001. He then moved to Estonia and coached Estonia's U-21s there from 2001 to 2004 . From 2000 to 2004 he was also assistant coach of the Estonian national team . He became their head coach on October 2, 2004 and held this post until June 29, 2007. Goes took part with Estonia in the qualifying games for the 2006 World Cup and the 2008 European Football Championship , but could never qualify. From 2008 to 2009 he was the head coach of the Russian club PFK ZSKA Moscow . From 2010 to 2012 he was youth coordinator at PSV Eindhoven . Goes has been the sports director of the Anzhi Makhachkala football school since 2012 .
