Antal Mally (born June 21, 1890 in Budapest , † January 1, 1958 ) was a Hungarian football player and coach .

Player career

As a player, Antal Mally was active between 1909 and 1913 for the Terézvárosi TC from Budapest . In the last season 1912/13 , the club rose from the Nemzeti Bajnokság .

Coaching career

Mally probably began his coaching career in Hungary. In 1927 he coached the Estonian national football team and SK Tallinna Sport in the Estonian championship . This was carried out in the knockout system . With the club Mally won the crucial final game against Tallinna JK for the 1927 title . He then left Estonia and went to Italy to work. There he worked for the clubs AC Venezia , Lanciano Calcio , SS Catania and Siracusa Calcio until 1933 . In 1935 he was recalled as national coach by the Estonian Football Association . He coached the national team during the Baltic Cup in 1935 . In 1939 he led Lierse SK to the runner-up in Belgium. After the end of the Second World War he coached the clubs AC Sparta Považská Bystrica , MŠK Žilina and MŠK Rimavská Sobota in Czechoslovakia .
