Ferdinand Pöppinghaus

Ferdinand Pöppinghaus (born November 28, 1923 in Werl , † August 4, 1965 in Uelzen ) was a German CDU politician .

education and profession

Ferdinand Pöppinghaus first attended elementary school and then the Mariengymnasium Werl . After graduating from high school in 1942, he had to go to war and suffered serious injuries on the Eastern Front. After the war, he studied veterinary medicine at the University of Gießen and at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover . He passed the state examination and received his doctorate in Dr. med. vet. Pöppinghaus practiced in Werl from 1951.

politics

Ferdinand Pöppinghaus was a member of the CDU. From August 1958 he worked as a city councilor and mayor of the city of Werl. In 1961 he became a member of the Soest district council .

From July 23, 1962 until his accidental death on August 4, 1965 (car accident on the B1 in Unna-Uelzen), Pöppinghaus was a directly elected member of the 5th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia for the constituency 115 Soest .
