Ferdinand Umenberger
Ferdinand Umenberger (born August 20, 1901 in Hinzenbach ; † September 29, 1992 in Wels ) was an Austrian farmer and dialect poet . As a politician ( ÖVP ) he was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1961 to 1962 .
After elementary school, Umenberger attended an agricultural training school and worked between 1918 and 1928 as a farm worker and then as a farmer in Hartkirchen . From 1949 he was chairman of the farmers 'union in Hartkirchen and from 1957 district chairman of the farmers' chamber of Eferding. He was also a board member of Efko and the warehouse cooperative in Eferding. Umenberger represented the ÖVP between October 23, 1961 and December 14, 1962 in the National Council and was a local councilor in Hartkirchen from 1945. In his retirement he wrote numerous dialect poems. He is buried in the cemetery of his home parish Hartkirchen.
