Ferdinand Wallbrecht (born March 9, 1916 in Hanover ; † May 3, 1993 ibid) was a German politician ( CDU ) and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Ferdinand Wallbrecht attended the Hannoversche Rats- und Realgymnasium and graduated with the Abitur. Then he was obliged to do labor service and did military service. At the beginning of the Second World War he was used as a non-commissioned officer in Poland , during the war he was also in France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Russia. In 1942 he suffered a serious war injury as a first lieutenant, as a result of which he was classified as 50 percent war-damaged. During the war he took up studies at the Technical University of Hanover and at the University of Göttingen, which he continued after the end of the Second World War and which he graduated with a degree in economics. He then worked in various German companies. In 1952 he joined the Misburg company Hannoversche Portland-Cementfabrik AG , where he became the only commercial member of the board.

He was treasurer of the CDU. From May 6, 1959 to June 20, 1974 he was elected as a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (4th to 7th electoral term).

He was married and had three children.
