Ferdinando Galimberti

Ferdinando Galimberti also Gallimberto or Galinberti (* around 1700 in Milan , † around 1751 ) was an Italian composer , violinist and music teacher .

Live and act

The exact dates of birth of Ferdinando Galimberti are unknown, the place of birth is given in sources as Milan. There are clues for his musical activity in the period between 1725 and 1751. In Milan, for example, between 1740 and 1742 he was the violin teacher of the Swiss composer Franz Joseph Leonti Meyer von Schauensee . He was an esteemed composer of the Scuola Sinfonica Milanese and belonged to a circle of composers around Giovanni Battista Sammartini , who was one of the main exponents of the early Italian classical period in the first half of the 18th century and had a formative influence on the further development of the classical symphony and many younger ones There were composers from other European countries, including Christoph Willibald Gluck , Christian Cannabich and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart .
