Fernand Tonnet

Fernand Tonnet (born July 18, 1894 in Molenbeek near Brussels , † April 29, 1945 in the Dachau concentration camp ) was one of the founding members of the Christian Youth Workers .

Life

Fernand was the fourth of five sons. He studied modern humanities at the St. Louis Institute in Brussels, but did not limit himself to academic studies, but began to methodically analyze the social problems of his environment. Visits to the coal mines, factories, and working-class neighborhoods gave him deep insight into the social problems of the working class .
