Fernando Giner Gil (born December 31, 1964 in Alboraya ) is a former Spanish football player .

Career

societies

Giner signed his first professional contract with Valencia CF in 1982 . After relegation in the 1985/86 season, he moved up to the regular formation and contributed to the direct resurgence. In the following years he developed into a reliable defender in the Primera División . Until his somewhat surprising move in 1995, he played 257 first division games for Valencia CF and scored 14 goals.

From 1995 to 1997, Giner laced his football boots for Sporting Gijón . He then moved to the Segunda División to Hércules Alicante before he played in the Segunda División B for UD Levante . With Levante he made another rise. After the 1999/2000 season he ended his career.

National team

Giner played eleven international matches for the Spanish national team . His debut was on April 17, 1991 as part of a 2-0 loss to Romania .
