Frank Rakow

Frank Rakow (* 1949 ) is a German specialist journalist and publisher in the field of hunting .

From 2009 to 2013 he was editor-in-chief of the specialist magazines Deutsche Jagd-Zeitung and Jagen Weltweit .

Life

Frank Rakow has been working as a hunting journalist since the 1970s, almost exclusively for Paul Parey Verlag . From 1974 to 1985 he was an editor at Wild und Hund , only interrupted by a good two years as editor of the magazine Jäger from 1976 to 1978.

From 1989 to 2004 he was the owner of Nimrod-Verlag, which specializes in hunting and forestry literature and is based in Hanstedt-Bode . The authors published by Rakow included Andreas Gautschi , Albrecht Milnik and Rolf Hennig .

In 2004 he returned to Wild und Hund as an editor . In the course of restructuring the Parey magazine publisher, Frank Rakow was appointed editor-in-chief of the Deutsche Jagd-Zeitung and Jagen Weltweit in 2009 as the successor to Andreas Rockstroh . He held this position until 2013.

From 2002 to 2006, he volunteered as a secretary on the board of directors of the Uelzen District Hunters' Association. From 1986 he was also part of the editorial team of the yearbook of the German Order of the Falcons: Reports on falconry, bird of prey protection and bird of prey studies.
