Ferrari Challenge
The Ferrari Challenge is a racing series of the car brand Ferrari , a GT championship officially approved by the FIA .
Ferrari Challenge was founded in 1993 by Ferrari SpA. The racing series is organized in three championships with 14 races, namely in the United States , Japan and the Pacific region as well as Europe ; a world final takes place in Italy every year. It is divided into the classes Trofeo-Pirelli (Pirelli Trophy) and Coppa Shell (Shell Cup). Originally only drivers and teams of the Ferrari 348 were allowed, in the years for the following vehicles:
- 1993–1995: Ferrari 348 Challenge
- 1995–2000: Ferrari F355 Challenge
- 2000–2006: Ferrari 360 Challenge
- 2006–2011: Ferrari F430 Challenge
- since 2011: Ferrari 458 Challenge
The Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli has been a tire supplier since the start of the Ferrari Challenge Championship in 1993 .
