Festningsporten ( Norwegian for fortress gate ) is an icy gap in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . In the Mühlig-Hofmann Mountains it lies in the middle of the northern flank of the Ruhnkeberg and leads to its flat summit.
Norwegian cartographers, who also gave the notch its name, mapped it based on measurements and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
