Qalaʿat ar-Rabad ( Arabic قلعة الربض, DMG Qalʿat ar-Rabaḍ , also ar-Rabadh ), also known as Adschlun Fortress (عجلون ʿAdschlūn , DMG ʿAǧlūn ), is a castle builtunder Sultan Saladin near the village of Adschlun . It is located in what is now northern Jordan near Irbid , the second largest city in Jordan.

Those built between 1184 and 1185 by General Izz ad-Din Usama, a nephew of Saladin fortress for defending against the Crusaders - Kingdom of Jerusalem and especially the transfer should facilitate messages. To this end, Saladin had a chain of fortresses built that relayed messages by fire and pigeon mail . In 1260 the Mongols briefly conquered the castle. It was badly damaged by an earthquake in 1837. Major restoration work was carried out on the castle between 1927 and 1929.
