Fethi Boucetta ( Arabic فتحي بوستة, DMG Fatḥī Būsitta ; * July 2, 1951 ), also Fathi Boucetta , is a former Tunisian football referee .

Career

At the beginning of 1987, Boucetta was appointed FIFA referee and was henceforth authorized to direct football matches at international level. He participated in numerous Arab and African competitions as a referee. At the women's soccer World Cup in 1991 , he led the preliminary round matches between Taiwan and Italy (0: 5) and Taiwan against Germany (0: 3). In addition, the Tunisian was used as a linesman in two other games . In the final for the 1993 Arab Cup Winners' Cup in February 1994, Boucetta was fourth officialused. On January 20, 1996, he appeared in the group game between South Africa and Angola (1-0) for the only time as the game director at the Africa Cup . In November 1996, the Tunisian led the final first leg of the African Cup Winners' Cup 1996 between the Zairean representative AC Sodigraf and the Egyptian club al-Mokawloon al-Arab (0-0). Boucetta lost his international status at the end of 1996 when he reached the age limit of 45 for FIFA referees.

In 1999, the Tunisian was employed by the national association Fédération Tunisienne de Football (FTF) as a technical observer of the national championship . In early 2018, Boucetta was appointed head of the regional referee committee in the Tunisian city of Sfax .
