Fire Brigade Decoration (Waldeck)

The Fire Brigade Decoration was donated on January 20, 1913 by Prince Friedrich von Waldeck-Pyrmont and could be awarded to people who have earned at least 25 years of loyal service in a volunteer fire brigade or outstanding services to the fire extinguishing system of the state or a community .

The silver medal shows the initial F (Friedrich) with the inscription GOTT ZUR EHR * THE NEXT ONE, surmounted by the prince's crown . On the back with the handles crossed, a pickaxe and a fire engineer's hatchet on which a fire engineer's helmet is placed. All round FOR MERIT FOR THE FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM, 1913 .

The award was worn on a black ribbon with red and yellow stripes on the left chest.
