The FIDUKA (proper spelling FIDUKA in capital letters), registered long name FIDUKA Depot Management GmbH , is an asset management based in Munich . The company was significantly shaped over the decades by its long-standing partner and managing director Gottfried Heller and his partner André Kostolany . Fiduka is subject to supervision by BaFin and is a member of the Association of Independent Asset Managers and the compensation scheme for securities trading companies .

history

The name "Fiduka" is derived from the Latin word fides for "trust". Fiduka was initiated in 1971 by the publisher of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, Alfred Schwingenstein ; The managing director was Gottfried Heller, who immediately took over the company shares and was able to win André Kostolany for the company. The idea was to successfully implement a long-term, international investment strategy for private investors and foundations. Investments are made exclusively in listed securities, i.e. in bonds , stocks and funds. The Fiduka is independent in its decisions. The focus is on substantial stocks and on international government and corporate bonds.

The founders

Gottfried Heller, born in 1935, is an industrial engineer and was a management consultant in Germany and the USA for the first few years of his professional life. In 1971 he founded the Fiduka. From the beginning, Heller was interested in international economic policy. He was one of the first asset managers to set up an emerging market fund at the beginning of 1994 and two multi-asset funds in 2008. Gottfried Heller regularly writes columns in “ Die Welt ” and “ Börse Online ”, gives lectures and gives interviews on radio and television. In 1992 the book The Prosperity Revolution was published by Econ-Verlag , and in 2012 by Finanzbuchverlag “The Simple Path to Prosperity”. André Kostolany (1906–1999) comes from a Hungarian industrial family and studied philosophy and art history. He had early contact with the stock exchange through his family. In 1940 André Kostolany fled to the USA with his family. From 1950 he lived in Paris and Munich. In 1971 André Kostolany moved into an office in Fiduka and was the focus of the Kostolany stock market seminars until his death on September 14, 1999. Numerous books, lectures and his column in the financial magazine Capital made Kostolany an old stock exchange manager.
