The Field rock is a rock ledge at the Mawson coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Lands . It rises 800 m south of Teyssier Island .
Aerial photographs and surveys by the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions from 1954 to 1962 were used to map it. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named him after Ephraim David Field (* 1929), who, among other things, worked as a cook in 1957 at the Mawson station 2 km further west .
