Filderhalle
The Filderhalle is a congress and conference center in Leinfelden-Echterdingen . It has a total capacity of around 1800 seats and 6100 m² of exhibition space.
history
The Filderhalle was built in 1958 as a typical multi-purpose hall with a stage , orchestra pit , changing rooms , bowling alleys , a foyer , a hall as a sports hall and a restaurant.
In August 1979, work began on converting and expanding the Filderhalle. The Small Hall was added as a new room . The great hall was redesigned and provided with a gallery. The wall paneling made of wood and the ceiling paneling with suspended room parts in the rooms are still a design element and suitable for room acoustics, ventilation and lighting. The technology has also been modernized. The restaurant was enlarged and expanded. On January 21, 1983, the work was completed. The result was a conference and congress hall, which from now on is used not only by the citizens, but also by organizers outside the city.
The most prominent guest at the Filderhalle in October 1997 was Microsoft boss Bill Gates .
Spaces
The Filderhalle offers space for events from 10 to 1800 people. The five event rooms are arranged around the two-story foyer. In the large hall with stage and gallery, up to 1000 people can be seated in rows. The large hall has a size of 820 m² including a gallery. In the small hall there is room for up to 350 people with row seating. The small hall has a total size of 365 m². The three studios can accommodate between 10 and 200 people with row seating.
The “FILL” restaurant is directly connected to the Filderhalle and has 180 seats.
particularities
The Filderhalle is also used as part of a dual study program in the field of trade fair, conference and congress management with the DHBW Ravensburg . The Filderhalle also trains event technology specialists.
