The Roman Catholic branch church Dobersberg in the parish of Strasbourg is dedicated to St. Michael . The church belongs to the parish of St. Georgen under Strasbourg . It was first mentioned between 1214 and 1217.

Building description

The church is a small Romanesque building with a nave from the 13th or early 14th century, a slightly retracted, closed choir and a plastered roof turret with a pointed helmet. The round-arched west portal has a door with hinge fittings and is protected by a canopy. There is a Gothic three-pass window above the canopy . A Last Judgment fresco in two registers and a St. Christopher fresco from the middle of the 14th century have been preserved on the south wall .

Inside the church, a round arched triumphal arch connects the flat-roofed nave with the square choir, which has a stitch cap vault from the end of the 18th century.

Facility

The baroque high altar from 1696 shows the disbelieving Thomas on the altar panel , and Saints Nicholas and Martin on the side paintings . In the essay there is the figure of the Archangel Michael. The carved antependium was made around 1720.

The two side altars are marked 1651 and 1693. The altar leaves show Saint Sebastian and the Holy Family on the left side altar and Saint Francis Xavier and Stephanus on the right side altar . The pulpit from 1691 is painted on the basket with a depiction of the Last Judgment.
