Innerochsenbach branch church
The Roman Catholic branch church Innerochsenbach ( patronage : St. Martin ) belongs to the Amstetten deanery of the diocese of St. Pölten . It stands on the former castle hill in the center of Innerochsenbach in the Lower Austrian market town of Ferschnitz in the Amstetten district . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).
history
Initially belonging to the parish of Steinakirchen am Forst , the church became a branch of the parish church of Ferschnitz in 1752 .
In 1897 a renovation took place, in 1967 an interior restoration, in 1975 a renewal of the roof.
architecture
The late Gothic two-pillar wide-area hall church was created from a hall church that was extended on both sides. The retracted Gothic polygonal choir shows buttresses on the outside. The church has a roof turret in the west.
The stone-sighted church building shows itself with quarry stone masonry without cast stones and with scaffold beam holes. The transverse, smooth box-shaped and wall-like closed nave has no buttresses and is from the beginning of the 16th century. The choir is from the 14th century. The nave and choir have steep shingle roofs with the same ridge height.
The wall painting on the right wall of the aisle shows Christ under the cross from 1548 and consecration crosses in a rectangular field.
Furnishing
The church has partly original, significant Gothic furnishings and furnishings.
The high altar as a blown columned aedicula around 1700 has sacrificial passages and carries the statue of St. Martin with book and goose and shows the altar leaf to St. Martin with beggar painted and donated by Princess Aloisia von Starhemberg in the middle of the 19th century.
The positive balustrade of the organ was created by Johann Fichtenbauer in the 19th century. Martin Fitler names a bell in 1646.
