The Roman Catholic branch church Mannsdorf an der Donau is located in the municipality of Mannsdorf an der Donau in the Gänserndorf district in Lower Austria . It is consecrated to St. Francis Xavier and belongs to the parish Orth an der Donau in the Marchfeld deanery in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the Archdiocese of Vienna . The church is in the northeast of the village of Mannsdorf an der Donau.

history

The area of ​​Mannsdorf an der Donau originally belonged to the area of ​​the Probstdorf parish and was transferred to the Orth an der Donau parish in 1783 on the basis of the Josephine patent . There was a small chapel in Mannsdorf since 1683. This was replaced by the original baroque church building that still exists today . This dates back to 1769. This structure was expanded and rebuilt between 1955 and 1957.
