The Roman Catholic branch church Mannsdorf an der Donau is located in the municipality of Mannsdorf an der Donau in the Gänserndorf district in Lower Austria . It is consecrated to St. Francis Xavier and belongs to the parish Orth an der Donau in the Marchfeld deanery in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the Archdiocese of Vienna . Location description
The church is in the northeast of the village of Mannsdorf an der Donau.
history
The area of Mannsdorf an der Donau originally belonged to the area of the Probstdorf parish and was transferred to the Orth an der Donau parish in 1783 on the basis of the Josephine patent . There was a small chapel in Mannsdorf since 1683. This was replaced by the original baroque church building that still exists today . This dates back to 1769. This structure was expanded and rebuilt between 1955 and 1957.
