The area of ​​Mannsdorf was already settled in the time of the Urnfield Culture. In the Oberau settler coup , unemployed people from Vienna occupied the Au between Mannsdorf and Orth an der Donau . From 1938 to 1945 Mannsdorf an der Donau belonged to Vienna as part of the newly created 22nd district of Groß-Enzersdorf .
