Bad Pirawarth is a market town with 1683 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Gänserndorf district in Lower Austria .
geography
Bad Pirawarth is located in the Weinviertel in Lower Austria in the valley of the Weidenbach, a tributary of the March . The district capital Gänserndorf is 18 kilometers away by road.
The area of the market town covers 25.42 km². 16.92% of the area is forested.

history
Population development
According to the results of the census in 2001 there were 1,541 inhabitants. In 1991 the market town had 1522 inhabitants, in 1981 1371 and in 1971 1460 inhabitants.

Culture and sights
- Catholic parish church hll. Barbara and Agatha : The sacred building built on the site of a medieval fortified church on the Hausberg is a remarkable baroque church building by Donato Felice d'Allio .
- Jewish cemetery Bad Pirawarth : walled section of the local cemetery in the southeast of the Kirchberg
- The town hall is located in the middle of Prof. Knesl Park, which is named after the sculptor Hans Knesl .
economy
In 2001 there were 51 non-agricultural workplaces, and according to the 1999 survey there were 102 in agriculture and forestry. According to the 2001 census, the number of people in employment at the place of residence was 747. In 2001, the employment rate was 49.38 percent. Bad Pirawarth is a health resort.
It is worth mentioning the spa and rehabilitation center for neurology and orthopedics, the Pirawarth Clinic, located in the community.
traffic
Until December 2019, Bad Pirawarth was connected to the railway network by the Gänserndorf – Mistelbach local railway, and the Bad Pirawarth – Dobermannsdorf railway once began in the village .
Sports
- The local football club SV Bad Pirawarth has existed since 1952 and currently (as of 2015) plays in 1st class north.
- The Union Judoclub Raika Bad Pirawarth has existed since 2006.
