Palterndorf-Dobermannsdorf is a market town with 1,340 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Gänserndorf district in Lower Austria .
geography
Palterndorf-Dobermannsdorf is located in the hill country of the eastern Weinviertel on the historic "Amber Road" in the Zaya valley . The area of the market town covers 18.64 square kilometers. 2.2 percent of the area is forested.

The community consists of the cadastral communities Dobermannsdorf and Palterndorf.
Neighboring communities
history
In 1290 Leutold von Kuenring gave the right of patronage over the church of Paltramendorf to the Teutonic Order . The Teutonic Order in Palterndorf (and viticulture in Dobermannsdorf) were formative for the places in the community.
The community emerged on January 1, 1972 from the merger of Dobermannsdorf and Palterndorf. In 1991 the community was surveyed .
Population development
According to the results of the 2001 census, there were 1,264 inhabitants. The market town had 1,304 inhabitants in 1991, 1,404 in 1981 and 1,538 in 1971.

In 2001 there were 35 non-agricultural workplaces, and according to the 1999 survey there were 79 in agriculture and forestry. The number of people in work at home was 529 according to the 2001 census. In 2001, the employment rate was 42.16 percent.
traffic
- Rail: Dobermannsdorf has an excessively large train station - if you look at the number of people in employment - some of which even have eight tracks. This is due to the fact that there two railway lines crossed, on the other hand the fact that in the neighboring larger oil camp was, from where after the Second World War a number of trains as reparation dispensed oil toward the Soviet Union transported away. Passenger traffic on the routes to and from Dobermannsdorf was discontinued in 1988.
