Dilshi Kumarasinghe (also Kumarasingha , Sinhalese දිල්ෂි කුමාරසිංහ , full name Kotambewaththe Gedara Dilshi Maheesha Shyamali Kumarasingha ; * May 11, 1999 ) is a Sri Lankan athlete who specializes in the 400 and 800 meter run .

Athletic career

Kumarasinghe gained her first international experience at the Junior Asian Championships 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City , where she placed 6th in the 800 meter final. In June 2018, two years later, she competed again in the Junior Asian Championships, this time in Gifu , Japan , where she won silver over 400 meters (54.03 s) and bronze over 800 meters (2: 04.53 min) as well as the The bronze medal was awarded to the 4 x 400 meter relay . A month later, she was eliminated from the U20 World Championships in Tampere, Finland over 800 meters and with the 4 x 400 meter relay in each case in the lead.
