Filipe Duarte Cardoso Sousa (born May 15, 1984 ) is a Portuguese cyclist .

Athletic career

Filipe Cardoso won a stage at the Volta ao Portugal do Futuro in 2003. The next year he was Portuguese U23 runner-up in the time trial and he won part of the Grand Prix Gondomar, where he was also third overall. In 2005 he was able to win the time trial of the U23 championship and got a contract with LA Aluminios-Liberty Seguros for the following season . In his first year there he was able to win two stages as well as the overall ranking of the Volta ao Portugal do Futuro. In 2007 he won the overall ranking of the Grand Prix Vinhos da Estremadura and a stage at the Vuelta a Chihuahua in Mexico.

In 2009, 2011 and 2012 Cardoso won one tap each of the Volta ao Alentejo , and in 2011 the overall ranking of the Grande Prémio da Costa Azul . In 2015, he won a stage of the Tour of Portugal .
