Filipinos in Austria

Filipinos in Austria are either migrants or descendants from the Philippines who live in Austria .

A total of around 30,000 Filipinos live in Austria. They mostly speak Tagalog , partly Cebuano or one of the other languages ​​of the Philippines as their mother tongue, as well as English as the second official language of the Philippines and increasingly also German . Most Filipinos are members of the Roman Catholic Church , few are Protestants and Muslims.

20,000 Filipinos, the majority of them women, are employed as nurses in Austrian hospitals, most of them in Vienna . Several hundred Filipinos also work as servants .

There are over 53 Filipino organizations in Austria.
