Filipinos in Austria
Filipinos in Austria are either migrants or descendants from the Philippines who live in Austria .
A total of around 30,000 Filipinos live in Austria. They mostly speak Tagalog , partly Cebuano or one of the other languages of the Philippines as their mother tongue, as well as English as the second official language of the Philippines and increasingly also German . Most Filipinos are members of the Roman Catholic Church , few are Protestants and Muslims.
20,000 Filipinos, the majority of them women, are employed as nurses in Austrian hospitals, most of them in Vienna . Several hundred Filipinos also work as servants .
There are over 53 Filipino organizations in Austria.
