Filippo Napoletano
Filippo Napoletano , actually Filippo d'Angeli (* around 1587 in Rome ; † 1629 there ), was an Italian painter of the 17th century.
Napoletano painted battles, seascapes and landscapes in a realistic way. He was influenced by the painter Adam Elsheimer and anticipated the design of the later " Bamboccianti ", the Italian genre painting, through his lush figure painting . From 1617 to 1621 he worked at the Florentine court a. a. for the Grand Duke of Tuscany , Cosimo II. de 'Medici .
