Film TV is a German-language, independent entertainment website that deals with films and series. It shows trailers and creates news about remarkable new releases in the cinema , on Netflix , Amazon Prime Video , Sky , on TV and on Blu-ray .

history

The website film.tv emerged in April 2015 from the website trailerseite.de (founded in 2005). The website has since been owned by Entertainment Media Group AG in Wollerau , Switzerland . Since August 19, 2015, Film TV has been delivering the trailers for the FSK ( Voluntary Self-Control of the Film Industry) app .

Film TV is marketed by WASD Media GmbH and is therefore part of the Gameswelt network. For this reason, page views and visits are not shown separately in the IVW , but are included in the declared range of the entire network.

Web presence

Film TV records around 1 million visits a month, making it one of the largest film and series websites in German-speaking countries. There are separate portals for readers in Germany , Austria and Switzerland , which are largely identical. At the end of 2019, the offer comprised around 30,000 articles with film information including trailers, as well as 20,000 news about films and series.

The community in the social networks can be found on Facebook (370,000 fans), Instagram (26,000 fans) and Twitter (5,000 followers) (as of November 2019). On YouTube FILM TV operates a channel with 14,800 subscribers.
