Final Story is a Swiss metalcore band from the canton of Aargau .

history

The band was founded in 2011 by Kevin Schärer, Olivier Strub, Mathias Sax, Flavio Schärer and David Mele. After a change in personnel in 2012, Flavio Schärer left the band in order to take advantage of his professional opportunity and to work as an event technician on European tours, later he went freelance as an event technician (FS Eventtechnik) and returned to the band as a live mixer.

Shortly before the release of the debut EP " Hopefully This Will End Well ", which was released in 2012, a new drummer was found with the entry of Daniel Baumgartner who became a permanent member of the band from the release party of the EP. The EP was produced and recorded by Lars Christen (Lars The Music Guy), who is known in the Swiss music scene today for well-known pop productions such as B. Bastian Baker, Pegasus, etc. Shortly before the EP was released, a video clip entitled "Is Your Knee Alright? It Touched My Head!" Was produced.

After initial successes in the metalcore scene and several live performances, a single "Take Me Away" was produced in 2014, which should be groundbreaking for the production of the planned album "Carpathia". The single was recorded in the Newsound Studios by Tommy Vetterli (drums, vocals) and at smakSound Studio - Sascha Maksymov (guitar, bass) and mixed and mastered by Andrew Wade of The Wade Studio. A lyric video was also produced by Trilathera, who later took over the entire graphic and videographic production as creative artists for Carpathia's album production. During this time, Olivier Strub also left the band to pursue a career. Raffaele Uccella joins the band as the new guitarist, who also contributes to the supporting vocals with his clean backing vocals.

Three years later, on December 4th, 2015, they released their debut album Carpathia via Redfield Digital . The album was produced in-house and in the studios

In 2016 they won the Greenfield Band Contest and were therefore allowed to perform at the Greenfield Festival 2016 alongside bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers , The Prodigy and Nightwish . In January 2017 they also got the opportunity to play as the opening act for the Swiss pagan metal band Eluveitie .
