The Greenfield Festival is a multi-day music festival that first took place in 2005. The venue is the Interlaken airfield in the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland . Every year around 40 bands perform at the Greenfield Festival.

Due to the German origin of the organizer, Swiss festival organizers called for a boycott of the festival in 2005 . They were of the opinion that Switzerland had enough festivals and that foreign organizers were undesirable.

Other festivals organized by the organizer FKP Scorpio such as Southside and the Hurricane Festival are partner festivals . The bands booked there often also perform in Interlaken.

In addition to the actual appearances of the bands, some of which change annually, one of the special features of the Greenfield Festival is above all a medieval market . During the day, various artists such as acrobats, fire-eaters and magicians perform there and typical medieval food and drinks such as mead are offered.

Four-day tickets counted four times, three-day tickets three times, etc. This results in significantly higher numbers of visitors. In 2013, 27,205 three-day passes were sold. If these were calculated using the new system, there would be 81,615 visitors. The Greenfield Festival 2016 had the highest number of visitors according to both types of calculation.
