history
Foundation and What Silence Hides (2006–2012)
The band was formed in 2006 by guitarists Fella and Rocco. After about a year more members joined the band and thus completed the line-up. After another year the band played their first concerts and played in 2008 and 2009 at the Metal Camp Open Air and in 2009 at the Summer Breeze . Her debut album What Silence Hides was recorded in Switzerland at Cave Studios , with Etan Genini as producer. The album was mixed by Fredrik Nordström in the Swedish studio Fredman in Gothenburg . It was mastered by Sterling Sound by George Marino in New York City . The album was released in 2011 on Spinefarm Records .
The Gift of Life (2012 – present)
During the summer of 2012 Dreamshade worked on their second album The Gift of Life . The production and recording took place in the band's own recording studio. It was then mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen . The album was released on January 25, 2013, and like its predecessor via Spinefarm Records.
