The Bots are an American punk band from Los Angeles .

history

Right from the start, The Bots consisted of the brothers Mikaiah (guitar, vocals) and Anaiah Lei (drums). They recorded their first album in 2009 when they were 15 and 12 years old.

Tours through America and Europe followed, u. a. with Blur , Social Distortion , the Yeah Yeah Yeahs , Tenacious D or Refused , two participations in the Vans Warped Tour and numerous festival appearances. In 2014, The Bots appeared in Germany at the Hurricane and Southside Festival as well as at Rock am Ring , the year before.

style

Due to their minimalist duo , which only consists of guitar and drums, The Bots are often compared to The Black Keys or The White Stripes . According to the American magazine Rolling Stone , they play a hard and melodic mixture of punk and blues ("tough and melodic punk 'n' blues").
