Unzucht is a music group founded in Hanover in 2009 . The band members live in Hameln , Leipzig and Hanover. Musically, fornication is part of Dark Rock .

history

Unzucht was founded in 2009 by Daniel Schulz, Daniel De Clercq, Tom Schindler and Toby Fuhrmann . Their first EP, Engel der Vernichtung , was released in the year they were founded, followed by their first concert with My Inner Burning on December 23, 2009 .

Already in 2010 fornication played at major music festivals such as the Rockharz Open Air and the Masters of Rock . At the M'era Luna Festival 2010 they appeared on the main stage after they had been voted "Newcomer of the Year" by the visitors. Shows and a. as opening act for Lacrimas Profundere and Coppelius . At the same time some contributions to the sampler appeared, including a. at the music magazine Zillo .

In 2011 fornication played with Mono Inc. , Jennifer Rostock and End of Green, among others . At the end of the year they went on their first tour - as support for Stahlmann - and signed their first record deal with the NoCut label.

Just two years after the first appearance, the EP Your Time Runs was released on April 20, 2012 , and a music video was released at the same time. The debut album Todsünde 8 followed on September 21, 2012 and was well received by the specialist press. Metal.de praised the album as "a round record, which for a debut is of more than high quality in terms of production technology", while critical voices noted that the proportion of known material was relatively high and that the album offered little new. Musically, comparisons are made to Rammstein and Eisbrecher . Mortal Sin 8 reached number 3 in the "German Alternative Charts". Unzucht went on tour for three months - first as support for Mono Inc. on their "After The War" tour, then with Megaherz on their "Götterdämmerung" tour and at the end of the year at the Dark End Festivals in five major German cities.

In the spring of 2013 Unzucht played the co-headlining tour Darkness Kills with Lord of the Lost . The second studio album Rosenkreuzer was released in October 2013 and entered the German album charts at number 61. The release was celebrated with the first own headlining tour, on which Darkhaus and Vlad in Tears appeared as support groups.

A year later, Venus Lucifer was released in November 2014, the third album of Unzucht, with which the band went on tour of course: Die Eisheilige Nacht with Subway to Sally and Saltatio Mortis . In January 2015 the actual Venus Lucifer Tour started with the American group Death Valley High as the opening act, during which Fornication also appeared for the first time in London . In the summer the EP Schweigen / Seelenblind was released , which included a few previously unreleased songs and remixes. After completing the second part of the Venus Lucifer Tour, for which Erdling acted as the opening act, Unzucht finally signed with Out of Line as a new label in November 2015 .

As the first sign of life on Out Of Line , the EP Kettenhund was released on March 11, 2016, which includes a remix of the title song by Die Krupps . The CD was limited to 999 hand-numbered copies. A European tour followed, during which Unzucht was the opening act for both Eisbrecher and Oomph! and Puddle of Mudd has performed in Germany, France, Spain, England, Scotland and Switzerland. The band then went into the studio to record their fourth album, Neuntöter , which was released on September 2, 2016 and reached number 16 in the German album charts. This was followed by a headlining tour until the end of the year with performances in England, Scotland, France, Austria and Germany.

In 2017 fornication shows were not only played in Russia for the first time , there were also appearances at the renowned festivals Summer Breeze and Greenfield Festival . Since the fornication concert during the Neuntöter tour in Knust (Hamburg) was recorded on November 25, 2016, these recordings were released on September 1, 2017 as a live CD / DVD package resistance (Live in Hamburg) and reached number 62 of the German album charts. Then Unzucht toured as a special guest of Eisbrecher on their storming trip through Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland and France. This was followed by a headlining club tour with Hell Boulevard as support under the name Resistance Tour .

In order to retrospectively honor their debut album Todsünde 8 , which at the time did not get its own headlining tour, Unzucht played a few shows in Germany under the title Todsünde Total in March and April 2018 , where they performed all the songs on the record live. The studio recordings, which had already started in January of that year, were followed by the release of the fifth album Akephalos on July 27 , named after the headless demon from Greek mythology. The album reached number 15 in the German album charts on the same day when Unzucht performed for the first time at Wacken Open Air . On August 8, 2018, bassist Blaschke announced his departure from the band for personal reasons. On August 18th the band was back on stage and played with Don Canone as the new bass player. The Akephalos tour started on November 2nd in Paris and ended on December 22nd in Hanover.

Although originally intended as a "year without a tour", Unzucht played more than a dozen concerts in 2019, but in the meantime recorded new songs, of which No was released on December 6, 2019 as the first single on an upcoming album. No reached number 2 on the "German Alternative Charts".

On February 7, 2020, the sixth fornication studio album Beyond the World was released . It reached number 9 on the German album charts.
