Darkhaus ( spelling DARKHAUS ) is an international dark rock band whose members come from Scotland, USA, Austria and Germany. The band claims Livingston in Scotland as their hometown .

history

Darkhaus was founded in 2011 by Gary Meskil ( Pro-Pain ) and Rupert Keplinger ( Eisbrecher ), who worked for Peter Maffay (Tabaluga), Oomph! , Stephan Weidner and Laith al Deen . Meskil brought guitarist Marshall Stephens from Pro-Pain into the band, drummer Paul Keller and the Scottish singer Ken Hanlon, who lives in Florida, complete Darkhaus. In March 2013, the band signed a worldwide contract with SPV .

From the end of 2013 to mid-2014 Darkhaus toured as a support band for Unzucht , Subway to Sally and Eisbrecher. Before that, the debut album My Only Shelter was released, which brought the band first successes during these tours. On August 10, 2014, Darkhaus performed at the M'era Luna Festival. After a few first concerts as headliner in 2014, the first tour of his own followed in 2015, named after the EP Providence, which was released on March 27, 2015 . In various print and online music magazines, Darkhaus was named top newcomer and newcomer of the year in 2013 and 2014. On May 21, 2019, singer Ken Hanlon announced on Facebook that he had not been a member of the band since the end of 2017 and that the band's future path was still unknown. The band was later disbanded.
