Hayseed Dixie ( English hayseed = "Hinterwäldler, Landei" or hay-seed = "hay seeds") is an American band that was founded in October 2000 as "A Hillbilly Tribute to AC / DC " and has cover versions of Plays hard rock songs in a musical mix of bluegrass and rock . The sense of humor is evident in the choice of the band name, which alludes to "AC / DC". The band has since recorded a large number of their own songs and re-interpretations of well-known rock songs.
Unlike many other bands, Hayseed Dixie encourage audiences to record their performances. They even go so far as to give tips for good recording quality on their homepage.
