European Championship qualification

The Netherlands qualified relatively confidently for the European Championship finals, with a dark shadow on the overall result after the Cyprus game (smoke bomb). In the first instance, UEFA rated the game 3-0 for Cyprus, which now gave the Greeks the chance to oust the Dutch from first place with a win in the final game. However, UEFA buckled in the second instance and decided on a replay. Greece then played the last game against the Netherlands with only a B selection.
