Wilbert Suvrijn (born October 26, 1962 in Sittard ) is a former Dutch football player . The midfielder was active for Roda Kerkrade , Fortuna Sittard and HSC Montpellier .

Suvrijn played nine international matches in the shirt of the Dutch national team without scoring a goal. In 1988 he won the title at the European Championship , but only came on for a short stint in the game against the Federal Republic of Germany when he was substituted on in the 88th minute. He also played a few minutes against England. Rinus Michels liked him because of his character and commitment and that's why he took him to the EM. In Montpellier he has a. a. played with Júlio César Silva and Carlos Valderrama . His coach at the time later became the coach of the French national team and world champion with them. The running miracle Suvrijn was also very popular in Montpellier. Romário ( PSV Eindhoven ) had nothing to bring against Suvrijn in the European Cup. Suvrijn has always lived seriously and for football. His career ended too early due to a back injury.

Today Suvrijn works as a player manager and lives with his wife Anne and children in the south of France.
