Scream Your Name is a post-hardcore band from the Swiss capital Bern .

history

The group was founded in 2010 by Stefan Jaun ( vocals ), Manuel Buser (vocals, electric guitar ), Micha Krähenbühl ( bass , vocals) and Miguel Müller ( drums ). Scream Your Name released their debut album Be a Part Of It , which was produced entirely on their own. However, the album was only released for the Swiss market.

Due to the great success of the album, the band was confirmed for the Greenfield Festival that same year , where the band played on June 10th. On that day the group played on the "Club Stage" where on the same day bands like Suicide Silence , Kvelertak , Callejon and Comeback Kid could be seen.

The group is now under contract with the Swiss independent label Deepdive Records. In January 2013, the band's second album was released. It's also called Scream Your Name . It is a re-release of the debut album with a new name and artwork. There are also three bonus tracks on the album. A concert tour took place at the beginning of January, which led through Switzerland , Austria and Germany . Bands like We Set the Sun and Breakdown of Sanity could be seen at some concerts on this tour .

In late 2014, the band released their third album, Face to Face, on Deepdive Records. This rose to number 55 in the Swiss album charts .

style

Scream Your Name play heavier rock music with influences from metalcore and alternative rock . As musical influences the group names Papa Roach , As I Lay Dying , In Flames and Rise Against . The group also uses electronic samples in their songs.

In an interview with German FUZE Magazine , the group said they chose As I Lay Dying as their source of inspiration because of their music. The musicians also describe Papa Roach as a “brilliant band”, even if they are hardly represented in the charts. Rise Against convey everyday topics in their texts, which are also taken up in Scream Your Name. What influences In Flames have on Scream Your Name is unknown. The group thinks that - just like In Flames - they want to develop musically.
