Skindred is a five-piece British band from Newport (Gwent) formed in 1998. In her music she combines the musical styles of reggae , metal , hip-hop and also elements of punk .
history
The band was formed by three former Dub War members Benji Webbe, Jeff Rose and Martin Ford, who played together in England. After working separately on several music projects, they decided in 1998 to perform together with bassist Daniel Pugsley under the name Skindred. In 2002 Jeff Rose was replaced by Mikey Demus and Martin Ford by Arya Goggin.
Skindred have released seven albums so far:
In 2002 their debut album Babylon , which was also released again in 2003 and 2004 in different versions. In 2007 they released their second album Roots Rock Riot , in 2009 the third album Sharks Bites and Dog Fights was released. Her fourth album Union Black followed on April 25, 2011 .
On November 11, 2011 (in episode 4867) Skindred made a guest appearance on the RTL series Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten .
The fifth album Kill the Power was released on January 27, 2014 and not only reached the Top 40 in Great Britain, but also made it into the German charts as the band's first album. On October 30th, 2015 they released the sixth album Volume . The successor to Big Ting was released on April 27, 2018.
